Yvonne and Eight Grade PE

On my first day of the eighth grade I went to school wearing a polka dot dress that was about my most favorite dress.

As you may or may not know, I had gone to school as Yvonne on each day of the last two weeks of schoole when I was in the seventh grade.  It was the end of the school year and everyone was so busy that none of the teachers ever said anything to me.  On those days that I was dressed as Yvonne, I was scheduled for study hall during the hour when my classmates were in PE.  So every day I had gone to study hall.

When I started the eighth grade, I simply dressed for school and when it was time for me to go to PE I went to study hall.  By the third day the teachers and school administration were seeing the pattern which was a departure from our compromise from the previous year.  They called me into the office to discuss the situation.  I told the principal that "I am simply too old to be around boys who are naked.  I can't go to PE with the boys and you won't let me go to PE with the girls.

When he tried to stress that this was unacceptable, I repeated myself.  "Mr Clay, I like boys.  I like boys a lot.  I dated boys over  the summer.  I cannot be put into a locker room with naked boys."  I then continued, "And if I am not giong to PE then I might as well wear what I want to wear, right?"

He was on unfamiliar ground and he wanted to return to the arrangement we had had from the previous year.  I remained firm.  "Mr Clay, you should know it is not that I do not want to be in PE.  With the boys.  I simply should not be in there.  I dated two of the boys in my PE class over the summer.  And both of them know how much I like boys  -- so it would be a mistake to make me go to PE."

I could tell that Mr Clay was uncomfortable with the sub-text of my comments.  He was beginning to realize that putting me into a locker room of horny young boys might me a mistake the school did not want to make.  I left his office under the agreement that he wanted so time to thing over his options and that he would get back with me.  For now, we agreed that I should not go to PE class.  He never got back with me and I spent every hour of that year in study hall when my classmates were in PE.
